Everton host Manchester United on Saturday at noon. United will still be hurting from that 6-1 defeat against Manchester City, and will want to make an immediate return to winning ways this weekend.

It took 120 minutes of football to separate Everton and Chelsea on Wednesday night and the Toffees will no doubt suffer from playing their second fixture in four days. David Moyes has just 16 players capped 10 or more times by the club at his disposal, leaving minimal room for rotation for cup competitions. With Victor Anichebe out and Johnny Heitinga doubtful, he options are further reduced, and he may have to turn to young players like Barkley and Vellios again to fill out his match day squad.

Rafael should be fit again for United, but Ryan Giggs is likely to be out for a week or two more with hamstring trouble. United should expect to win this game, having a vastly superior record against the Merseysiders since the Premier League began. However, they threw away a two goal lead late on against them last season to draw 3-3, and their recent defensive record will give Alex Ferguson cause for concern. The Red Devils have kept just three clean sheets in their last 13 matches; while the margin of their defeat against City was a surprise, they have been conceding regularly.
