Valencia vs Bayer Leverkusen.
Champions League - Group E : 4th round
Date : 1 November 2011
Stadium : Estadio Mestalla, Valencia

Valencia hosts Leverkusen in UEFA Champions League's Group E on Tuesday night. Considered that Chelsea is clear favourite and Genk the outsider in this group, the battle between this two teams is crucial for the progress to the next round.

After they had lost 1:2 in Leverkusen two weeks ago, Valencia CF should beat Leverkusen at home now, if they want to progress to the next round. In Champions League the Spanish made a point in Genk (0:0) and played 1:1 at home against Chelsea before, so anything else than a victory won't probably help the them now. In Primera División Valencia have lost just a single match so far (0:1 at Sevilla FC), stands on the 4th position. At home they are quite strong (5-2-0), even got a 2:2 against Barcelona in late September.

When Bayer Leverkusen played against Valencia two weeks ago, they played a very bad first half, were totally dominated by the Spanish and had to go into half time with a 0:1 deficit. But things changed in the 2nd half then, Bayer found into the match and finally even beat Valencia 2:1. Also in the Bundesliga Leverkusen shows two different faces. While they could beat teams like Stuttgart or Bremen, they were beaten at home 1:4 in the derby against Köln or lost 0:3 at Bayern. Last Friday Leverkusen could win 1:0 in Freiburg, but their performance was anything else than convincing. Michael Ballack is in poor health, it's not sure, if he can play.
