Liverpool vs Manchester City
English Premier League, Round 13
Date : 27.November 2011
Stadium : Anfield Road - Liverpool

On Sunday, 27th November at 16:00 (CET), Liverpool FC will host Manchester City at Anfield for Round 13 of the English Premier League. Either side has had an excellent start to the season and the Reds will hope to stymie the Citizen's early title run.

Liverpool's late winner last week against Chelsea brought the Reds' unbeaten run to a total of seven matches. However, they have struggled to get results at home with three straight draws at Anfield. Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool are now in 6th place and are knocking on the door of the top four. A win at home against Manchester City would be a huge boost both in morale and their stated mission to finish in the top four. Steven Gerrard is still recovering from injury but Dalgish will be able to rely on a full squad otherwise.

Manchester City has seemed invincible domestically, but in Europe they have struggled for wins. On Tuesday, the Citizens lost to Napoli 2-1 while in Italy, a result that should have some effect on the domestic title forerunners. Roberto Mancini will have plenty of options, the best of which seem to be Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero, both of whom have been in the very best of form. However, Mancini could go with Edin Dzeko in favor of Balotelli as he is more level-headed and a solid finisher. Owen Hargreaves remains the only injury absence for City.
